Abortion Is Not A Right

I really don’t care what you have to say on the matter. Killing a human being because you are inconvenienced is wrong. I won’t use the word “murder” because that is a legal definition, and whilst abortion is legal, it is still killing a human life.

I have heard all of the arguments. I’ve even claimed some of those arguments in the past. You see, I was a *leans in close to whisper* …..feminist. I was a feminist and a mother of “chosen” children. I believed that every child mattered so long as they were chosen. I shifted my framework a bit at one point and proclaimed the age old phrase, “Well, *I* never would have an abortion and believe it to be a baby from conception, but I can’t make that decision for another woman.” I was half way there to the whole truth for nearly 20 years of my adult life.

What changed? Feminists. I started really listening to what they had to say, and being the ever seeker of Truth that I am, I realized it was not adding up. There were so many points of cognitive dissonance that I could no longer look past or reconcile. Feminists would praise pregnant women and refer to her baby as a baby, and out of the other side of their mouths call an unwanted baby a parasite. They would rightly rage against the forced abortions practiced in China and third world countries, or the sex selective abortions of girls (or abandonment of newborn girls) in said places, but then shout their ‘right’ to abort baby boys so that they wouldn’t be complicit in perpetuating THE PATRIARCHY. If aborting because baby is a girl is wrong, then it is also wrong when it’s a boy. If it is wrong in either instance, then it is always wrong, regardless of the circumstances.

Now is when you will bring up the perennial “but but but, rape victims, incest victims, oops babies.” Rape and incest babies are so statistically rare that it’s a non argument. Oops babies? Aborting an unplanned baby because “oops” is sociopathic. Fight me. You made the decision when you had sex. Everyone knows where babies come from. The best way to avoid a baby? Not having sex. It’s really that simple.

The author, VERY pregnant with baby number seven.

The scientific fact is, a fetus is a stage in human development, just like toddler-hood, puberty, your 20s, Middle Age, menopause, and being elderly are all stages in human development. The scientific fact is, this human fetus has its own genetic code, its own heart rate, its own blood type.

“But what about the babies born into poverty or abuse?” So their circumstances mean their life is not as valuable as say a baby born to wealth and safety? If you are saying that, you are participating in what the left likes to call classism and victim blaming. If you are saying that, then you are also saying that MY OWN LIFE wasn’t worth it because, dear reader, Yours Truly was born into poverty and abuse… and here I stand, telling you how wrong abortion is and that it is absolutely not your right.

I’ll do you one better than the classism and victim blaming the left puts onto pre-born humans… It’s also racism. Did you know that a black baby is more likely to be aborted than born in New York City? The left has done some seriously messed up things to the black community and two of the worst have been destruction of the black family, and convincing now single black women that abortion is their only option and in some cases is even “self-care.” Here I was thinking self-care was a mental health day, or treating yourself to a mani-pedi on occasion. I guess when the pro-aborts use it, it means “kill your baby.”

At the end of the day, feminists started completely throwing out their tired arguments and began confessing that yes, they know it is a baby, and no, they don’t care. They just want to do what they want to do. That, too, is sociopathic. Fight me.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5

I proudly proclaim myself as pro-life and thankfully never fully realized the ultimate aim of feminism: destruction of the very power that women have to carry life and birth it into being in accordance with God’s will. There is no such thing as an unplanned baby, and killing them is not your right.
